This is my first attempt at making a pocket letter. All I can say is it took two days, made a heck of a mess but is incredibly cute! I got addicted to pocket letters on Pinterest and I just had to try it. My Theme is last years holiday catalog from Stampin’Up! Although there is stuff from last years annual catalog and a couple non Stampin’Up! stuff like the clear plastic trading card page and the ribbon. There’s only two items not retired: the Reason for the Season stamp set and the festive flower builder punch. If you want to be overly observant you will notice I used Emerald Envy card stock and ink which didn’t exist last year, but just worked really well.
This is my favourite so far. Only one thing has retired: the Framelits used to mount the sentiment. Everything else is still available. The stamps used were from the Reason for the Season set for the poinsettias and the sentiment and Lovely as a Tree for inside the window. I used the Hearth and Home thinlits to cut the window frame. The inks used were basic gray for the outlines of the poinsettias and tree and Emerald Envy for the sentiment. I coloured it all with Stampin Write markers in Emerald Envy, Cherry Cobbler, Real Red and Crushed Curry for the poinsettias and inside the window: Garden Green, Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango and Cajun Craze. I used the Brick Wall TIEF on the Cajun Craze card stock and the other card stocks were whisper white and real red.
