Sugarplum Dreams a few of my favourite things!!!

A little bit of colouring and voila another Sugarplum Dreams card is in the making. One thing I love about this set is it’s line art and that means colouring!!! I just used Stampin Write markers and the marker I used for the pictures background was Sweet Sugarplum which just seemed appropriate. Of course the stamped images were done with Basic Black Archival ink and the sentiment uses Pool Party card stock with Pacific Point ink cut with the Everyday Tag punch. It’s all mounted on Silver Foil Paper on Perfect Plum card stock and finished with some rhinestone jewels.

Sugarplum Dreams and Year of Cheer

Sugarplum Dreams was my go to set for my first card of the entire holiday catalog!!! I chose to make it Christmasy with metallics rather than sticking to traditional colours. I’ve used Silver, Gold and the new Champaign Foil Paper. The DSP is Year of Cheer and the stamping is done with Versamark embossed with gold and Smokey Slate ink on Powder Pink card stock. The images were cut out with the new Everyday Tag Punch. All the colours that I can imagine would look beautiful with this DSP make me squeal with delight!!!!

Nature Sings

Some serious fussy cutting here! No I didn’t have any dies to cut these reindeer from the Nature Sings stamp set. Once again I started with painting on ink this time the colours were Pool Party and Powder Pink and then stamped on the trees with Garden Green and pulled out my Lovely as a Tree stamp set and put the one tree in the foreground with Tranquil Tide ink. Then I stamped Soft Suede card stock with Chocolate Chip ink then stamped them on the paper with Chocolate Chip ink to place the deer and glued my fussy cut deer on top finally I stamped the sentiment with Chocolate Chip ink and matted with Powder Pink and Tranquil Tide card stock.

SU Carols of Christmas

Playing with the Carols of Christmas bundle and trying some none traditional colours Fresh Fig, Crushed Curry and Pacific Point on Whisper White. You can get this stamp set free in July ask me how. Oh yes and the background stamp Sheet Music is also used in this card.

Joyful Nativity card

This I think is my last Christmas card. I could be wrong as I keep adding more to my list. But it’s a great place to finish!!! Joyful Nativity is the stamp set used here a simple card really. Only two colours of ink: Delightful Dijon and Bermuda Bay and three colours of card stock: Whisper White, Delightful Dijon and Bermuda Bay. One important lesson I learned with this card is to get nice even stamping with large area flat photopolymer stamps after priming with an eraser also ink stamp first with Versamark ink then ink your colour on. Makes for a nice even image.
