Quilted Christmas card

This is an answer to another sketch challenge. This time a Christmas card. I’ve very loosely interpreted the sketch changed the tag into a tree and the bow is a star. Not hard to do if you’re not afraid of fussy cutting. A lot on this is fussy cut. The paper comes from the Quilted Christmas DSP as well as Blushing Bride, Lemon Lime Twist and Garden Green Card Stock. And the sentiment Stamped in Garden Green comes from the Oh What Fun Stamp Set. The star was cut by cutting a line from the centre of each outer triangle to the outside of each inner pink triangle and it gives an amazing optical illusional effect. I love this paper with or without the rest of the suite but it’s a very versatile suite and can be used well beyond Christmas.

Christmas in the Making

Another Christmas in the Making card. The main colours are Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black and Whisper White. I used the Everyday Label Punch to cut out the sentiment, the DSP is Merry Little Christmas and its embellished with black rhinestones.

Brightly Lit Christmas card

I’m just loving all the nostalgia in this particular holiday catalogue! I love this old fashioned lamppost!!! This is the Brightly Lit Christmas bundle and it is a part of the Christmas around the world suite. I only used the dies and stamps for my card along with the Merry Music Specialty DSP. I was trying to avoid the cliche of red and green for Christmas but it needed something extra so I added the wreath with red bow in. I guess a little green doesn’t harm anything!

Night in Bethlehem with lots of purple card.

This is a beautiful bundle Night in Bethlehem! I used 3 purple card stock colours Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant, as well as champaign foil. There is So Saffron Ink sponged lightly on the background and the Sentiment was stamped in Elegant Eggplant ink. I’m thinking of offering a more advanced class for people who are not beginners at stamping and would be interested. If you wish to attend an advanced techniques class please comment I can accommodate you. Thanks!
