Today I am posting a card which is made with the Sunshine Sayings Bundle. This bundle was introduced in the last catalog and is carrying forward into the new catalog. I also used the layering Circles dies and a retired heart punch. The colours are Calypso Coral, So Saffron, Flirty Flamingo, and Melon Mambo ink for the Happy Birthday. I’m so glad I managed to squeeze this set in before the bundle retired due to the 10% savings. In the new catalog the stamps and dies have to be bought separately. There are a few weeks left for the old catalog to be available for ordering bundles and I plan on getting as many of the bundled items as I can afford. There will be new bundles in the new catalog.

We will make 3 designs 3 of each for a total of 9 birthday cards. It’s for all levels of stamping abilities. If you’ve never stamped before or just would like to send handmade birthday cards this is the class for you. Plus who doesn’t like a party!!!! I’m holding a birthday make and take party. It will be on Saturday March 18th from 2-4pm. We will make 3 of each of 3 different cards. This is my 2nd card of the 3. If you missed the first go to my blog and look back a bit it’s there. If you’re going to be around North Vancouver BC Canada email me at email@example.com for details. There will be cake and refreshments too! It promises to be a great afternoon. This card is made using the Cupcakes and Carousels suite and some SAB free Glimmer Paper. Just a word on the suite they put a little taste of a whole lot of Embellishments into one package instead of having to buy a whole lot of different Embellishments separate. I like that idea!
I’ve got another event to announce. I’m having a birthday stamp a stack party!!! No it’s not my birthday Yes I’m too old for parties! But I’m working on 3 birthday cards we can gather together and produce 3 of each. That’s 9 birthday cards you can give to family and friends. Here is the first of the 3. The date is Saturday March 18th from 2-4pm. The cost is $20 but with a $25 or more purchase before shipping and tax I will refund half. There will be cake and refreshments and we will have a blast. Book your space ahead as I need to know how many are coming. It will be at my home in North Vancouver BC Canada. Message me for details. Also if you want to do this and the date doesn’t work for you message me and I can arrange to throw a party for you and your friends.
This is all from the Cupcakes and carousels suite: the stamp set, the DSP stack and the embellishment kit. I also used watercolour Paper, Peekaboo Peach and Bermuda Bay card stock. The ink pads were archival Basic black and peekaboo peach and its coloured with Stampin Write Markers. I love that this suite comes with an embellishment kit rather than each Embellishment sold separate. It made it more affordable to have a bit of everything instead of paying for each Embellishment separately. Carousels have such happy feelings about them. I’m in love with this suite.
This birthday card was made with the stamp sets Flower Patch and Watercolour Wings. I love the sentiment, it has a little tongue in cheek. The card stock is Pink Pirouette, Soft Sky, Melon Mambo and Whisper White for the butterfly. Inks are Sweet Sugarplum, Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry for the flowers and sentiment and Soft Sky, Pool Party and Bermuda Bay for the butterfly. Finally I embellished with Pool Party Enamel Shapes.
This is for my other Sister who is in love with glitz! Can you tell I have a lot of birthdays in March. This uses the Birthday Blast bundle which consists of a stamp set and dies. The background is Sweet Sugarplum Glimmer paper which is one of the upcoming Sale-a-bration items and there are 3 colours included. I also used gold foil paper. The card stock is Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzleberry and the ink is Rich Razzleberry. I used the Multipurpose Liquid Glue for the first time to adhere everything and although I did have a few adhesive messes they are much improved over what I’m used to with other adhesives. I would give it a thumbs up I just need to practice more with it.
