White Watercolour Pencil with Beautiful You

I must say a white watercolour pencil is something I had somewhat protested to. Any good watercolourist would tell you no I do not use white I use the paper to create my white. So I decided to move beyond the bounds of watercolour and try my watercolour pencil as like a pastel pencil and use white on a darker paper a common pastel technique and I love the harmony of it. Yay for versatility!!!!

Technique class #1 an overview

This is a collage of the photos my club member took of the demonstration of our technique for technique club. It works as a summary of how to make those pretty floral dresses on your Beautiful You ladies. Next Friday I will be showing my technique for next month my Friday April 21st class is full so I’ll be posting a second date as soon as I come up with one.

Technique club card 3

This is the third technique card I will be doing in our monthly technique club meeting which today is the last day to sign up to join this month but the good thing is I will be posting next months technique soon and I promise it will not disappoint. You can private message me or email stampinsmilesbyjackie@gmail.com to find out more.

Technique club meeting 1 card 2

This is the second technique club card we will be making for the next meeting. The technique club starts next Friday. I’ve had to change my free gift to my first two members to sign up. The tins have apparently gone out of stock so I have SAB stamp sets I’m offering in their place. At the moment there is one up for grabs. Everyone who joins will receive a free Classic Stampin Pad of their choice of colour. Come join us Friday March 17 th at 7-9pm. Email for more information stampinsmilesbyjackie@gmail.com.

Techniques Card Club card 1

This is the first of three cards we will be making at my stamp techniques club meeting. We will be learning how to make the printed dress with Beautiful You! The club will meet on Friday March 17 from 7-9pm. Besides the 3 technique cards we will also make a surprise card which won’t be posted until after the meeting. It will take place at my home in North Vancouver BC Canada. If you’re interested please feel free to email me at stampinsmilesbyjackie@gmail.com for details. The first two people who join will get a free card tin to keep your cards in and all new members get a Classic Stampin Pad in the colour of your choice. There is still one tin unspoken for.

Another Colour Scheme with Beautiful You

Ok this one may look a bit familiar but it is slightly different from the one I created last month. I changed the colours and to “watercolour” my lady from Beautiful You I used the watercolour pencils, instead of ink, with the blender pens. I didn’t have the same palette available to me with the watercolour pencils so I changed it up. This one to me is a lot warmer. The colours are Real Red, Calypso Coral, Watermelon Wonder, Early Expresso, Crumb Cake, So Saffron, Pool Party and Blushing Bride. Have fun with your inks and try different colour schemes with your cards. It’s a lot of fun!

Stylish Beautiful You

This time I did the card entirely with Beautiful You and I think it’s the one I want to do a video for. I can most likely replicate it in about 10 minutes. The lady is watercoloured using the blender pen and ink pad. The background is a combination of stamped off stamps and lightly stamped ones but the sentiment is stamped full pressure. I’ll be able to talk more about the details in the video. The top background paper is Stampin Up’s watercolour paper. And the card stock is Perfect Plum, Marina Mist and Daffodil Delight. I’m so hoping I can arrange to do a video as this one is super fun.
