Another card with the Eastern Palace suite. I’m just loving this Suite it seems the possibilities are endless. It has Dapper Denim and Very Vanilla as Well as the new In Colours Tranquil Tide and of course Lemon Lime Twist. Believe it or not I have yet to have used all the dies in this set nor have I used all the stamps so yes there will be more!
A friend of mine just had a baby boy and I’m so excited to give her a hand knit baby sweater and this card. I used the Baby Bear stamp set for the main image and the retired stamp set Little cuties for the background and sentiment. The colour scheme is Tempting Turquoise, Island Indigo and soft sky. I’m always happy to welcome a new baby to the world!!!
Just using some scraps of the almost retired DSP. This time I experimented with some triangular blocks (used the retired postage stamp punch and cut some in half diagonally). I think it looks like a windmill. The DSP is from the Falling in Love suite and the Happy Hearts embossing folder is also on the retirement list 😢. The sentiment is from the Sunshine Sayings stamp set and Thankfully is not retiring! The actual card is officially in the mail! I made it for a purpose.
Another example of the Eastern Palace suite. Used Fresh Fig and Lemon Lime Twist with the blender pen and covered with one of the gold stickers. Stamped background with Lemon Lime Twist and sentiment with Fresh Fig on Very Vanilla card stock. Used Tranquil Tide card stock for the banner and wrapped with gold thread and tied a Fresh Fig tassel to it and mounted it with Stampin Dimensionals. Matted it with Fresh Fig card stock and Finished by mounting it all on a Very Vanilla Thick card base. I think it’s my favourite so far!!!
Now since the last technique class is over I can reveal my surprise project for April. My technique students all got to make this carry case for their little supplies they bring to the class like adhesives and snips. It’s made with an empty wood mount stamp box plus the bundles Sunshine Sayings and Foxy Friends. We all had fun with this easy to make project!
I’m so excited to share what this Aprils Paper Pumpkin had in store!!! I made several Thank you cards, as well as some birthday cards, friendship cards, a Mother’s Day card and a Father’s Day card!!! I didn’t use the mini set of watercolour pencils included I will save them for a mini travel set. But instead I used my full array of colours from my purchased set. I’m happy with how they turned out!
I must say a white watercolour pencil is something I had somewhat protested to. Any good watercolourist would tell you no I do not use white I use the paper to create my white. So I decided to move beyond the bounds of watercolour and try my watercolour pencil as like a pastel pencil and use white on a darker paper a common pastel technique and I love the harmony of it. Yay for versatility!!!!
