I’ve started Christmas in July my usual keep up with Christmas cards for the year. I know it’s still June but it’s just that time of year for me. I love giving beautiful handmade cards for Christmas! I’m going to be posting a lot of Christmas card some with retired products some not. This one has mostly retired products except the pearl jewels and the card stock: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Delightful Dijon. Who knows maybe this will be yours.
For this I used the floral phrases bundle which includes the detailed floral thinlits dies. I also used the floral boutique DSP. For card stock I used flirty flamingo and whisper white with flirty flamingo and night of navy ink. I then embellished with pearl basic jewels and touches of clear wink of Stella for some sparkle. #Stampinup
I decided to have some fun with some retired products as well as some not retired. The swallowtail stamp is retired and is mounted on some retired DSP stamped with the not retired hardwood background stamp. The card base is not retired elegant eggplant card stock embossed with the not retired embossing folder wood grain. I coloured the swallowtail stamped image with alcohol markers. #stampinup
Well my first order from the new catty arrived! I bought the best birds bundle! I decided to do it entirely with in-colours. I used peekaboo peach, dapper denim, tip top taupe, and emerald envy ink and mint macaron, peekaboo peach and dapper denim card stock on a whisper white card base. #imbringingbirthdaysback #stampinup
I did this card in response to a colour challenge in one of the card makers groups I belong to. The challenge was to make a card using the colour combo of Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay and Delightful Dijon. I sponged those 3 colour inks on to whisper white card stock the colours overlapping made some other beautiful colours. I then used the stamp set Awesomely Artistic in Momento ink black. I mounted it on Rich Razzleberry card stock and then on a basic black card base. I’m in love with it!
