Well being the last day of sneak peeks before the launch of the new catty there’s something about this card which is an extra sneak peek without giving away exactly what the new catty has in store. Note I have stocked up on night of navy and whisper white card stock but that’s all I’m going to say about it. Peekaboo peach works well with this colour combo and I’ve added in a taste of sweet sugarplum! Tomorrow the new catty will be revealed for all! Have fun everyone!!!
This is an all occasions card. What it celebrates depends on what you decide to write inside. It’s not entirely made of retirement products but here is a list. The little flowers are punched from the itty bitty accents punch set, the blue card stock is lost lagoon, yellow hello honey, dark purple is blackberry bliss, the botanical jewels embellishment and the wildflower fields DSP. Everything else is still available. Including the botanical builders for the larger flowers and leaves, the sentiment from the birthday blooms stamp set, the rhinestone jewels embellishments, and card stock in calypso coral, old olive and delightful Dijon for the 5 1/2″ square card base. There’s a lot I used to make this card so if I missed something please let me know and I can let you know if it’s still available. #stampinup
This is a simple two colour one layer birthday card. The colours are wisteria wonder and blushing bride and the two stamp sets used are Flower Patch and Petite Petals. I embellished with Rhinestones jewels and just so the carefully cut edge shows I adhered a strip of the retired have a Cuppa DSP onto the outer edge of the inside. #imbringingbirthdaysback #stampinup
I wanted to show case my favourite retiring in-colours both paper and ink. The colours are blackberry bliss, hello honey, Tangelo Twist and mossy meadows. None of the dies, punches or stamp sets are retiring with the exception of the sentiment which is from the retiring set sassy salutations. I was trying to achieve a kind of bohemian collage. And I’m quite pleased with the results. I can’t see myself not using these wonderful rich assortment of colours any time soon. I’m not afraid of retired stuff at all. I even use competitors products from time to time. But for the most part I try to continue to throw in a bunch of new stuff to drool over. I’m unpredictable. #imbringingbirthdaysback #stampinup
This is a very simple monotone card. The stuff I’m showing for the transition to the new 2016/2017 catalog is retired. In this case the stamp set Serine Silhouettes. If I were to do it again I would put a strip of the silver satin ribbon flat along side the diagonal score lines. I think the bow is a bit too much. This card is for all occasions depending upon what you write inside but I see it as a gentle kinda good for a sympathy card maybe without the bow. Anyway stamp set and diagonal score board are retired everything else is available. I think for the upcoming year I plan to use retired stuff more frequently whereas in past I’ve avoided them. I’m realizing not all my customers are interested in buying stuff to make cards, but would rather buy cards from me. And I’m totally ok with it.
